Saltburn charted Sophie Ellis-Bextor's Murder on the Dancefloor.

The Official Charts Company reports that Sophie Ellis-Bextor's "Murder on the Dancefloor" will make a comeback to the top 40 UK singles chart after featuring in the movie Saltburn.

Oscar-winning screenwriter Emerald Fennell directed the film, which debuted in November 2023 and debuted on Amazon Prime Video on December 22.

The song, which is scheduled to make a comeback at position 27, is heard near the end of the movie when Oliver Quick, played by Irish actor Barry Keoghan, is shown dancing around Saltburn Manor in his underwear to the hit song from the 2000s.

The movie, which also stars Rosamund Pike from Gone Girl and Carey Mulligan from Maestro, follows Oliver, the main character, as he befriends Felix Catton, who is portrayed by Jacob Elordi in Euphoria. Felix is popular and charming.

Oliver receives an invitation from Elordi's persona to spend the summer at Saltburn, his family's rural manor.

Ellis-Bextor, 44, recreated the moment using her song in a TikTok video that was uploaded on New Year's Eve. She also wore antlers that resembled the ones Keoghan's character wears in a party scene.

"Heading into 2024 like...," she wrote next to the dance video. "Happy New Year from Saltburn!"

After its release in 2001, the popular pop song reached its peak at number two, falling short of Daniel Bedingfield's breakthrough single Gotta Get Through This, which debuted at number one.
