Randy Travis’ First Album “Storms Of Life” Topped Country Charts in 1986.

If your debut album hits the top spot on the country charts, I suppose that's a pretty solid indication that you'll have a successful career in country music.

That only goes to show that Randy Travis was meant for greatness from the beginning.

He made a big splash in the music industry with Storms of Life, which debuted in June 1986 and peaked at number one on the U.S. Top Country albums exactly 37 years ago.

The project actually held the #1 spot on the year-end country charts at the end of 1987.

You will undoubtedly be familiar with some of the album's tunes if you consider yourself a fan of Randy Travis.

On the Hot Country Songs charts, songs like "On the Other Hand," "Diggin' Up Bones," and "No Place Like Home" paved the way for the Storms of Life, which are today regarded as Randy Travis classics.

Upon its re-release, "On the Other Hand" and "Diggin' Up Bones," two of my favorite Randy Travis songs, both peaked at number one.

Fans of country music were also drawn to the slower, more melancholy beat of "No Place Like," which peaked at number two on the charts.
