Poor Video Shows Eagles Player Trying To Trip Buccaneers Player In Loss

As if Monday night's blowout loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers wasn't awful enough, a humiliating video of a Philadelphia Eagles player is circulating on the internet.

Former Georgia standout pass rusher Nolan Smith was in position to make a tackle for loss in the first quarter.

Smith just missed the tackle, but he was determined to bring Buccaneers wide receiver Trey Palmer to the ground.

The former first-round pick kicked his leg out in an apparent tripping attempt, which failed.

While it wasn't one of his best performances, Smith did manage to earn a half-sack on Baker Mayfield alongside teammate Fletcher Cox.

He recorded four tackles on a night when nothing seemed to go right for the Eagles.

"Nolan Smith seems lost out there. He really tried to kick the ball carrier rather than tackle him.

Can't make this stuff up! #Eagles Clay Harbor, a former NFL player, claimed he had never seen anything like this before.
