BMW Still Sells Best in Luxury After a Record Year.

Despite having a banner year, BMW continues to dominate the premium automobile market around the world.

According to Automobile News, international sales of the Bavarian climbed by more than seven percent in 2023, reaching a total of 2,253,835 units. 

This figure establishes a new benchmark for the automobile manufacturer and further solidifies its position as the premium brand that has the highest number of sales worldwide.

One of the factors that contributed to the rise in sales was the popularity of BMW's fast expanding array of electric vehicles (EVs). Globally, the business sold 330,956 battery-powered automobiles and sport utility vehicles (SUVs) in 2023,

including the i7 (shown above), which is a year-over-year rise of 92 percent and accounts for more than 14 percent of overall sales.

In 2022, BMW Groups' other brands, Mini and Rolls-Royce, sold an additional 301,506 automobiles, bringing the total number of automobiles sold by the global firm to 2,555,341. 

This is a 6.5 percent increase over the previous year.Mercedes-Benz, BMW's primary competitor, completed the race in second place once more, although things did not go as well for them. 

Two hundred and forty-eight thousand automobiles were sold by the German brand, which is approximately the same number that it sold in 2022 (2,043,900).
